Launch of the section shows the Festival of the Five Continents

From 31 July to 10 August eight stages between Basilicata, Puglia and Calabria

VEIN (PZ) – Back Carovana the Festival dei Cinque Continents, the itinerant exhibition conceived and organized by the cultural association "The Circus Art" of Venosa. The section shows of the festival, which have been joined this year by sections devoted to photography, publishing, tourism, meetings, video, artistically and laboratori, will kick off the 31 in July from Pescopagano (PZ), to continue until the 10 August with milestones that will affect important centers of Basilicata, Puglia and Calabria. For this tenth edition of the artistic direction was entrusted to Pasquale Cappiello's "Artistic Management", which over time has been able to give the event visibility and prestige increasing.

The Festival of the Five Continents, as it has been since 2005, once again present all the characteristics that have made it known to the public as a single event, able to offer the best expressions of the international street theater and contemporary circus: dance with fire on percussion, dall'acrobatica to visual comedy, by juggling the transformation, from verticality to mime. Eleven artists and companies, from all over the world, selected for the 2014 Festival: The Beat Brothers (Italia/USA), Simona Boni (Italy), Troubling (Italy), Eteclown (Argentina), Andrea Fidelio (Italy), Imaginary Theatre (Italy / Spain), Lannutti & Corbo (Italia/Argentina), Madame Rebiné (Italia/Francia), Quetzalcoatl (Mexico), Skapigliati Street (Italy), Andreanne Thiboutot (Canada).

Each stage will offer performances and performances of startling visual impact, that will drag the audience emotionally large and small in a whirlwind of theater, music, dances, energy. This year, the course of the festival will involve four provinces, touching eight municipalities: the 31 July Pescopagano (PZ), August 1, Isola Capo Rizzuto (KR), the 2 August Acri (CS), the 3 August Rocchetta Sant'Antonio (FG), the 4 August Viggiano (PZ), the 5 August Castelgrande (PZ), the 6 August Acerenza (PZ), the 10 August Brindisi di Montagna (PZ).

The wait is great for each of the stages of the Festival of the Five Continents, which promises once again as an extraordinary event of the summer in Southern Italy: a celebration of the arts, Peoples, cultures, ideas, who wants to continue to amaze giving the privilege of discovery and the taste of surprise. The objective remains the same as always: the development of the area, historical centers, monuments. Castles, cloisters, churches, buildings, squares will once again be the setting for a magical and enchanting festival without borders.
